Incognito Week of 1-31

Author: IncognitoScott | Filed under: Uncategorized

Hello Friends,

It is citrus season here in California, and at incognito that can only mean one thing. That’s right, the return of the Peacemaker. For those of you who have not been properly introduced, the Peacemaker is a shot of espresso that is combined with a steamed black tea infused cream, and then topped off with an orange spice whipped cream. It combines tea and coffee in a beautiful marriage brought together by a common love of acidity. I will be making the whipped cream with blood oranges provided by Brian Fuller. They are gorgeously sweet with a little hint of cranberry. Thanks Brian!

Come on by to enjoy an incognito classic.

Incognito Week of 1-17

Author: IncognitoScott | Filed under: Uncategorized

Hello Friends,

If you missed the new drink, Orange Cardamom Cappuccino last week, I will be serving it again tomorrow. It feels like a warm hug on a snowy day. Who doesn’t like that? Come on by to feel the cozy embrace of citrus and spice. Speaking of citrus and spice, I have attached a shot of my son doing some advertising for the old man’s window venture. This shirt was sent to Quinn from a friend who still thinks espresso is spelled with an “x”. 😉

WELL UPDATE – Um yeah, so we built a well. Over $5,200 raised and tomorrow marks the end of the campaign. Thanks again for all of your support and generosity. I will send you all everything I get from charity water as they update the progress of our well. Watching it come together over the next 12-18 months should be very cool. Stay tuned!

Orange Cardamom Cappuccino – $2.50

Incognito – We Built a Well

Author: IncognitoScott | Filed under: Uncategorized

Hello Friends,

To kick off the new year, I have been working on a new drink. I was inspired by a trip to Three Twins ice cream in Napa. Two flavors really caught my attention, cardamom and honey orange blossom. I ordered them together on a cone and was amazed by how well they married. The only thing missing in my mind was a bass note that only coffee can provide.

So my new drink will be originated with a shot of Ecco’s El Ausol in a 3.5 oz cup. The shot will then be topped off with a cream that has been cold infused with cardamom and orange zest and then sweetened with a little honey and orange sugar. It is warm, spicy and zingy. A beautiful way to kick your taste buds into gear in 2011.

WELL UPDATE – This has been an amazing week. First off we had an anonymous donor give $2000 to the project. I have been humbled this week by the generosity of this person. This has put the goal of $5,000 firmly within our grasp. We also had 4 other donations totaling almost $300, bringing the grand total to $4300. With the $200 I still need to put in for the last couple weeks of incognito we will be at $4500. Thanks so much to everyone who has helped by donating online or showing up at a random, freezing kitchen window to get coffee. I think we’ll make it. If anyone else is interested in seeing the progress, or donating here is the website: mycharitywater.org/incognito
