I apologize for the late email this week, I was in Canada and could not get to a computer with internet yesterday. (I do realize that this brings up multiple Canada jokes for some of you, keep them to yourself, my wife is Canadian. On second thought, if you have a really good one, email it to me.)

This week I am bring back my favorite coffee of the year so far, the Kilenso espresso from Coava Coffee in Portland. Beautiful notes of berry and melon abound in this gem from Ethiopia. Beautiful as a single shot, heartbreaking as a cappuccino. This is as good as it gets for me in coffee. A fleeting moment in time with a great natural processed coffee should not be missed!

In order to celebrate graduation here at Pacific Union College, I will be opening the window on Sunday. I will be serving affogato, which is espresso that is pulled over ice cream. The drink will include 1 scoop of vanilla and 1 scoop of chocolate with a lovely shot of Ritual’s Division espresso pulled on top. Bring by any friends and hang out on the back porch. It should be a beautiful day. Congratulations again to all of the graduates, you will be missed.

Hello Friends,

Another school year has disappeared. It felt to me like one of the best here at PUC. I wish all of the students best of luck as they take their exams this week.

I will be serving up some more Verve espresso on Wednesday. I am serving up their juice bomb, the Los Angeles from Costa Rica. It is extremely fruity and full of lovely acidity. Hope to see you!
